It was lunch period at the Academy & like every day, students had free range for how they wanted to spend their time with it. Some ate outside on campus, some went to the roof, others just enjoyed spending it with their classmates & ate in their respective classroom. Simon was one o those, only instead of enjoying it with his friends & classmates he just sat in his usual seat right next to the window, wrapped up lunch sitting neatly on top of his desk.

It was much less because he felt out of place in this country & more that he was just... well, bored. Bored of this place, this school, these people, this country, this world -- this life.

For the most part Simon sat in the back of the classroom with his lunch untouched, just staring out at the window.

The boy's attention was drawn away from the window to find Seiya standing in the middle of the doorway. He blinked in confusion much like the rest of the kids in the room. They resumed whatever they were doing after laughing at the girl though. Simon's gaze remained on her for a moment, giving her a small sympathetic smile before he looked back to that beloved window.

Something seemed off. After the spiel about bonds, Seiya had been extremely alert to people in need of a little TLC. Seeing the boy alone, she figured it couldn't hurt to say hello now that she'd gone and drawn attention to herself.

Striding over, Seiya slid into an empty seat. "Hi, Seiya Yamada." Bowing her head halfheartedly, she flashed another large grin.

"Simon Wallace," the boy replied politely, feigning that small smile once more as he introduced himself. "It's nice to meet you." It was pretty obvious that he wasn't the same age as the rest of peers, let alone the fact that he wasn't from the area - or the country at all. It was like he had a huge neon sign that said OUTSIDER & pointed directly to him.

Her smile refused to fade. Clasping her hands together, Seiya crossed her legs. "That's a lot easier to say than my other friend's name." Moving to rest her chin in her palm, she studied him. "Where are you from, Simon-kun?"

"The United States," Simon said as he continued with his polite facade. He had no qualms with speaking to the girl about where he was from, in fact he was used to answering that sort of question, it was just.. well, just that. It was like speaking the same thing over & over.

Simon mimicked her posed, keeping his chin in his hand while he threw a quick glance at the window before returning his gaze to her. "I just transferred at the beginning of the year."

"Oh wow! [GOD BLESS AMERICA!]" Seiya's eyes lit up as if she was speaking to a rock star. "That's so cool! I have another friend from America too!" Wow, today was just continuing to take the right turns. "Welcome to Eizou Academy, even though I'm a bit late on that."

There was a look of surprise on Simon's face as he watched her reaction & he couldn't help but chuckle. The attempt at english some of his classmates show was a little amusing he had to admit. "Thank you, Yamada-san. I didn't know there was another transfer here from the U.S. as well."

Beaming at his approval, she felt as if she was on cloud nine. "Yeah! G-kun. He's a little hard to get to know, but I bet you two have tons in common! [BFF!]" She smirked, as if to say 'why yes I do know what that means.' A few girls at another table gave her a strange look, but she was absolutely oblivious.

"G-kun..." Simon repeated, eyes closing as he tapped his cheek, trying to recollect any memory of hearing that nickname. It was probably something between her & this other boy. "I don't think I've met him before but I'm sure I'll run into him eventually." It's not like it'd be hard to pick him out anyway. He heard the giggles & noticed the others looking at the two of them. He didn't mind in the least, he was used to the stares but he wondered if that was something Seiya was also used to. Given by her personality he wouldn't doubt she was always like this. "Maybe," he lied with that small smile. He doubted that other transfer was anything like him. "What grade are you in, Yamada-san?"

Swinging her feet absently, Seiya played with her hair. It was nice, making conversation. "Oh, I'm a fourth year student." Glancing at him, she hoped this wouldn't change how he spoke to her. Then again, he was foreign and probably didn't really apply the whole "senpai" respect rule. "Have you had the grand tour?"

That meant he should be calling her senpai, right? The honorific thing was still something he was getting used to but he thought it was polite to ask what she preferred to be called. Simon opened his mouth to ask but she already went & asked something else. "Oh, no I haven't. I've been able to get to my classes just fine but I haven't had a tour."

This intrigued her. "No tour of the school or the town?" Seiya looked at him, jaw dropped in disbelief. "Nope, that won't do. I'll have to take you out after school!"

"You don't need to do something like that.. I wouldn't want to pester you," Simon said with a small frown, waving both of his hands. "It's alright, really.. I actually like getting lost. As... weird as that sounds."

"Are you sure? I really wouldn't mind." Seiya propped her feet up on whoever's desk she happened to be occupying.

"I'm sure you have better things to do. It's alright, I promise." He was being difficult for no reason. He really wouldn't mind the company or just getting out of the apartment but for some reason he just couldn't accept the invitation & it upset him. "Thank you though, Yamada-san-- oh, would you rather I call you senpai instead, or...?"

"You don't have to call me senpai." Seiya looked a bit crestfallen, but she would feel horrible forcing him. "Well... the offer is always open, how's that?"

Simon was surprised that he hadn't turned the girl away despite declining her offer. In fact she still had it opened for him. A tiny, yet genuine smile turned up this time. "... that sounds fine. Thank you Yamada-san. I will be sure to let you know."

Hopping to her feet, she waved grandly before heading towards the door. "If you're up for it, just meet me outside school, okay?" With that, she headed down the hall.
