The Hell Just Happened?

After texting Miho, Seiya payed for their lunch and escorted Greg to the outside of Miho's building. After all that had just transpired: the mirror, the little girl, the giant bruise, it was no wonder people were giving her a strange look. Hobbling like she'd just been in the war, Seiya leaned against the wall for support. "She should be down any minute."

Gregory remained quiet and apparently resolute! At least he wasn't freaking out, so that could be comforting to some small degree. He gave Miho a nod with her instructions and walked Seiya over to the couch as soon as they were inside. The jacket on him was shrugged off and then he draped it across the girl on the couch's lap... Greg placed her hands there and then made a slight face. "You can bleed on that. I'll, uh... Wash it, later." Or throw it out. Probably the latter, yeah.

"Stay here, all right? Just, uh... Lean back and relax, y'know. I'm gonna make that tea." With those words he retreated into the kitchen. Greg looked a little lost in his thoughts, and it was probably obvious what he was thinking about. By the time Miho came back, he was still working on that tea!

“”O-oh, oh God, that really is deep.” Miho bit her lip in worry, gnawing and chewing on it absently. “I can do it, though. I’ve taken first aid classes. Cleaning it.. Cleaning it might sting, I’m sorry. G-san! Can you bring some warm water out with the tea, as well, pretty please?” With a look of determination she went to her knees in front of Seiya, opening the first aid kit. “Ready?” Without waiting, she gingerly grasped a shard of glass with the tweezers and went to tug it lightly out.

Gregory had just come out with the tray of tea when she made her request, and he set it gently down on the coffee table there. "Yeah, uh, I'll get it." He cringed briefly at the state of Seiya's hands and then scurried back into the kitchen. The boy let the sink run until the water was hot and then filled a glass... He wasn't entirely sure what container Miho wanted it in, but this would have to do! By the time he came back out she was tugging one of the shards out, though, and the face the poor boy made could not have been encouraging for poor Seiya. "Urrghh..!"

He set the glass down next to the tray with the teapot and several cups on it, then took a seat about as far as he could get from the injured girl. Gregory had no desire to get up close and personal with her injuries! School was going to be a nightmare if she couldn't write, and it looked pretty bad, so...

Miho was good at this whole first aid thing, but... Holy crap she felt terrible for hurting Seiya like this! She continued her work through quiet mumbles of 'sorry, sorry, sorry', her opposite hand gingerly rubbing against her senpai's leg in what she hoped was a comforting manner. Gregory's jacket was getting really bloody, considering they were both bleeding – the glasses wearing girl wasn't quite so bad off, though.

“Almost got most of it out.” She gulped. “There's.. just a few little shards. This is reeeally going to hurt, I'm so sorry. Brace yourself, k-kay?” And with that, Miho had to dig the tweezers right on in to remove the last shards. “G-san, towels, please. In the b-bathroom, get a cloth or something.”

Yeah, that jacket was going in the wastebin as soon as he got home. Maybe sooner, because a jacket covered in blood was sort of suspicious, wasn't it? Yeah, he'd throw it out somewhere on the way... Oh, Miho was talking. Gregory returned to reality in time to hear that, he'd been purposefully avoiding paying attention to the proceedings, and stood up with a firm nod. Surprisingly he already knew where the bathroom was in this particular apartment, but only because the last time he was in it he'd stripped down to nothing and put only a damned towel on.

That made the towels easy to find, too, so hey! Greg returned a moment later with one large bath towel and another more like a washcloth; he wasn't exactly sure which one Miho could get the most use out of. "Uh, here you go. I got... A few." The boy was a lot quieter than usual since the little incident, but that was hardly surprising, now was it? "Oh, and don't worry about the jacket."

“Yes! Aha, ah, yes, please. Lay down. I'll clean your hand up and bandage it – it might need stitches later but... You just sleep now, okay, senpai?” She'd set all the glass shards down on the table (oh, great. Woops. She'd gotten blood on the table.) and was now gently dabbing at her hand with the washcloth Gregory brought over. Pretty soon the wound would be all clean. “Um.. G-san. Can you.. help me with my hand?”

The boy made a face at her suggestion. "Uhh... If you talk me through it..?" He wasn't quite sure how badly Miho had injured that hand, or if he'd be plucking anything out of it today. Greg hoped not, but either way he had no experience with this sort of thing beyond putting band-aids on small cuts. "Guess I'm pretty lucky. The only, uh... I didn't get hurt. Yeah." He lowered into a squat beside the girl, holding a hand out and then motioning with it to suggest that she put hers in it. "How, uh, how bad is it?"

[personal profile] terminalshow 2012-04-10 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
Miho let out a slow breath as their senpai drifted off. She continued cleaning her wound, being as gentle as possible. Rather soon it was all cleaned out and wrapped up tightly but carefully. With an apologetic smile, the girl held out her hand for Gregory. It was no where near as bad as Seiya's, but there was a jagged cut along her palm (from the ice) that was still freshly bleeding. “It just needs to be cleaned out with water and antiseptic, then wrapped up. E-easy peasy.”

"Right. Okay, that's easy enough." Unfortunately for her, he didn't seem to be the most gentle guy when it came to this sort of thing. The water came first; he dumped a small bit from the glass of now warm-ish water onto the cut and then dabbed at it with the towel she hadn't used on Seiya. "Right, and now..." Antiseptic came from the table, having been pulled out of the first aid kit for their much more injured friend, and he dumped (that's not a good word) a fair amount right onto the little gash. Whoops!

When she was done reacting unfavorably to that, Greg wrapped her hand up with a slightly apologetic look. When he was done he stood up, rubbing both palms together and then glancing around. "So... Uh, today. That was something..."

((OKay! I just fell asleep lol ;_;))

Miho nodded her head in a silent reply. Her teeth were set and her jaw was clenched. Oddly enough, she had a pretty large pain threshold when it was something she was expecting. She winced and fiercely blinked back tears when he dumped a painful amount of antiseptic on her... And then it was done! Yay, all wrapped up.

She pulled her hand back in with a shuddering breath and a sniffle. "Y-yea, yes, huh? That was really..."

Greg was quiet for a moment, even though he was the one who talked first. He looked down to Seiya on the couch and then back up to Miho, looking like he couldn't figure out what exactly to say. It came to him before too long, though, and the boy shook his head with a sigh. "I don't know how we're going to, uh... Explain this. We can't tell anyone, Seiya-san said the police already laughed at her." Hands went into his pockets and he hunched over a little bit.

"We can just hope... Uh... Hope that was it, I guess. Maybe they'll back off now that whatever came out of the elevator killed them." Something told him otherwise, though. Dammit.

[personal profile] terminalshow 2012-04-10 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
“So.. It'll be just us?” She nodded a little to herself, looking down at her hands. Miho compared the bandaged one to the normal one, and then put on a smile. “Well, if it's something um.. Y'know, dangerous. Which it obviously is.. At least Seiya-chan can protect people.” That thing had obviously come from her, hadn't it? “I wish we could, too..”

Gregory shrugged. In all honesty, there could be other people like that, when he thought about it. Logic dictated they'd be able to find and possibly connect with those people in... What should he call it? 'That place they went' would do for now. They could find others, if there were others, that knew the same things they did. Of course, Greg would go with a weapon next time. If there was a next time, at any rate! "Yeah, I guess so." Another look in Seiya's direction; that thing had definitely come out of her. "Maybe we can. When she's more awake she can, uh... Probably tell us how she did it."

It was strange, really. Greg had been scared out of his mind and he still was at the thought of going back there, but there was also a building curiosity to contend with that. There was another button in the elevator when he'd sent them home, and that meant there was more of that world to potentially explore. With something like what came out of Seiya he'd definitely be free to do just that. "Mmm..." Gregory was a little space-y at the moment.

[personal profile] terminalshow 2012-04-10 03:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh! Haha, ah, want some tea, G-chan?" She offered him a smile now that she wasn't freaking out anymore. Her hand was throbbing, and she was a tid bit worried about Seiya, but.. No reason not to be a good hostess, right?!

"Uhh... I've never been a big fan, heh. Sorry. I'm not really thirsty anyway, so..." Actually he was quite parched, but asking Miho for something like a soda seemed weird! That was all he usually drank... Carbonated things and occasionally fruit juice, if there was none of the aforementioned around. "Obviously, uh, you can have some... Like, I wouldn't consider it rude. Or anything." Greg rubbed the back of his neck. He'd botched that a little bit. Oh well?

Greg decided to just change the subject, and after a look around the apartment he drew his eyebrows in. "How're you gonna explain this to your mother? I can help you clean up, uh, on that note."

[personal profile] terminalshow 2012-04-10 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"M-mm, that's okay. I'll leave the clean up until Seiya-chan is awake. I don't mind doing it." Miho shook her head, letting her shoulders untense a tad. Greg had prepped tea for them all, so she helped herself to some of that. "It's really like something out of a video game, huh?"

Greg stayed standing, he was more comfortable at the moment that way, and reached up to rub at his chin with that question. "I guess it is. Uh... More dangerous, though. Probably not good to think of it like that." That wasn't to say he wouldn't be thinking that way, too, though. The boy found himself staring at the ceiling in thought. "It's probably still dangerous. For you and me, uh, I meant. My reflection was different the other day in the elevator, Miho-san. I don't know if you've seen anything other than yourself, but that means I'm potentially at risk."

With a sigh he looked back down to Miho, outwardly seeming more annoyed than afraid at that possibility. "I'm alone at home most afternoons, so we'll just hope not, huh?"

[personal profile] terminalshow 2012-04-10 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
“Don't worry, G-san. I'll give you my cellphone number. If you get into trouble... Seiya-chan and I will protect you, okay?” She offered him a bright smile. It seemed like she was all cheer again now that they were safe – also, she was completely serious! She was vowing to protect him!

"Oh... Uh, sure. I can give you mine..." Gregory pulled out his phone, moving to the contacts screen and then getting Miho's number. He got her home number, too, just in case! She was given his as well, and then he returned the phone to his pocket. Greg would get Seiya's later, after she'd woken up...

He wasn't sure on all this vow of protection business! Still, it'd be weird not to make the same promise, so... "Yeah... I'll, uh, I'll protect you guys too. The best I can, anyway." Greg really needed to find a weapon. Maybe right now... "... Uh. I should go, I think. Unless you need me here?"

[personal profile] terminalshow 2012-04-11 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
“Umm. Nope! I guess not. Not unless you want to hang out.” Her head tilted slightly. “Though, aha, maybe it’s a weird time for casual get togethers? I don’t know~. If you want to go, you can go. I don’t mind!” Miho nodded assuringly as she absently sunk back into the couch (it was big enough for Seiya to lie on and probably for Miho to lie on too if she wanted to). “I mean, um.. I could make a snack, maybe..”
