Lazy Days

It had been a few days since Seiya had been released from the hospital. Sitting outside Yamada Mart, she flipped through the images Greg had shown her a week prior. Mirror Mirror, huh? If there had been doubts about the connections between the crime and the paranormal world, this erased them. Unfortunately, they couldn't just run to a police station and spill their story. As it was, Seiya doubted her friends would even believe her, had they not seen it with their own eyes. Normally on her break she would venture out for some air. Today, however, Seiya remained on the bench outside her father's store, wrapped up in the mystery surrounding her life. Setting the gruesome images aside, she propped her feet up on the empty side of the seat, watching people come and go. A lazy day indeed. (Let's say this is before the current Shadow Kota battle. c: )

The outside of Yamada Mart was as normal as it could be, but if Seiya happened to glance to the left of the shop she'd see a door that was no doubt starting to become very familiar to her. If it had been anything else like her previous trips to the Velvet Room, no one else would be able to see it...

Maybe she should go investigate?!

((you don't mind more than one scene going at once on this thread, do ya?))

Arthur was indeed in his usual spot! He stood next to the far-too-large couch that Igor was seated on, a massive book held loosely by one arm. “Welcome to the Velvet Room. Out of the hospital, I see?” He glanced to Igor, who nodded a small nod. “I would like to introduce you to the compendium.”

"A compendium is a collection of concise, detailed information about a particular subject." He stared at her, dead pan, almost sounding as if he were quoting right out of the dictionary. "This.." He hefted the book, and then flipped it open. The pages rolled as if pushed by the wind. "Is a Persona Compendium. Any Persona that resides in your soul can be stored here, and re-summoned at any time if you so wish it."

"I recommend registering all of your Personae with us, as you receive them and as they grow."

Goodness gracious, the very ghost of a smile nagged at his lips. "I'm... Glad to see you out of the hospital."

"...Yes. Exactly. I'm glad you understand." Yes a... Pokedex. What was a Pokedex?! Arthur accepted the proffered card and examined it. He plucked up a dark blue feathered quill from the table, wrote something into the book, and then almost instantly Hlin's information appeared on the page! The card was then handed back over. "All of your current Personae are registered."

“Please be sure to bring them to me before fusing. It would be most unfortunate not to register one, and then to lose it.” The Compendium was set down, and then he fetched another book – the twin to the Velvet Notebook Seiya had. Arthur skimmed it, and then nodded. Ooh, was that a sheepish expression? Seemed so!

“You’ve heard of ‘bowling’, correct?”

Yep, he definitely looked a bit sheepish about this line of conversation. Arthur glanced away, wrinkling his nose just slightly in a very minor expression of distaste. “Y-yes. Bowling. I would like to try. I’ve heard it’s… fun.” Take him on a date, Seiya!

He opened his mouth, and then closed it… And then opened it again! It seemed poor Arthur was at a loss for words as he stared at the girl’s outstretched hand. “.. Right.” A gloved hand clasped hers, and then they were off! He followed her right out of the Velvet Room, looking oddly apprehensive.

He adjusted his hat, muttering a quiet, “Am I dressed appropriately for this?” as they started to walk. Arthur, oddly enough, didn’t seem to loathe the arm swinging. His arm was a little bit stiff, sure, but he wasn’t outright stopping her. “Twelve inches. That will do, yes?” It was a pretty nice day out, and he seemed to relax just a tad in the sunlight.

“This is my first time in your world, yes.” He shrugged, trailing along behind her. “I’m quite interested in it. You’re the first customer I’ve ever assisted.” Aha, that implied that there were others, or had been, at some point or another! “Bowling. Is it hard? I did some reading. The object of the game is to roll the ball..”

Despite his rather line-faced exterior and slightly uncaring, jerky attitude, it was pretty exciting! He was very interested in Seiya’s world, after all. One of his brows rose at the sudden blush on her face. “Your cheeks are red.” They were almost at the bowling alley. It would be a little hard to notice, but Arthur seemed to speed up his stride at the sight of it!

“No, I am fairly certain you’re blushing…” He was successfully distracted, however, by them finally reaching the bowling alley. Arthur dipped his head in a slight incline to thank his companion for holding the door open, and then stepped inside. “So this is a bowling alley.” He seemed pretty impressed! It was just a regular old bowling alley, but it was so bright and colourful! “We must rent shoes, yes? I believe that costs yen.”

And with that he produced a very big bag of coinage, and thrust it toward Seiya. “My treat.”

Arthur hovered behind her like an over-curious (and oversized) child. He was staring the shoe guy down as well, as if the man wouldn’t admit them both into the bowling place. “We’ll be playing versus, I imagine?”

“Yes. Right. They do return your shoes to you after? It's just a rental..” The pouch of coins was mysteriously tucked away as he sat down and got to removing his plain ol' dress shoes. The bowling shoes were slipped on and neatly tied, and then he nodded. “Please, do not go easy on me. I think you'll find I'm very good at... sports.” Now was that true, or a fabrication?!
