Hospital Blues

After exiting the mirror world, it had been agreed that hospitalization would be the best option. Calling an ambulance, Seiya had been driven to the hospital in order to be examined and treated. Once stabilized, the nurses ceased fussing over her wounds. Great, a bandaged hand and a gouged side. Fighting in the mirror world would be the death of her if she continued to go in alone. Alone... Loneliness crept up on her as the blank walls seemed to close in. She wondered how anyone would know where she was. Her father didn't really bother keeping up with her, and her cell phone was back in her bag at the school. Staring at the ceiling, Seiya just listened to the hum of the machines.

"Oh..! Right, yeah, that makes sense. I'm always looking at my phone, so uh... I won't miss a call or a text." Greg gave his phone number to Ren and presumably received hers in return. He added her to his phone's contact list and then turned expectantly to Seiya... The boy was pretty sure she had one. Everyone had one, these days, and it seemed especially true around here. Of course, a surprising lack of students seemed to have a smartphone like him.

She nodded, typing Greg and then Seiya's numbers into her phone; what they didn't see was that she added them in under seemingly nondescriptive nicknames. Once that was done, she took the pad and wrote down her number in clear, slightly square characters.

"'Dunno what you could do about missed work, though, short on one of us walking into your class and asking someone..."

Greg jotted his number down on the pad when it was given and then added Seiya to his phone. His dad would be happy to hear that he was making friends here... Even if these only counted as 'friends' for the necessity of contact. Eh, whatever, it'd get the guy off of his back.

"I stick out enough already, uh, walking into a third year class seems like it'd go oddly." Or maybe that was just an American thing and he was being weird. Ehh, either way... "You'll be okay though, yeah? It's probably only a few days of work you're missing."
