(OOC: A loose post to just kind of get the hang of things and test the waters c:)

It was the beginning of yet another school term. Seiya stood in her family's store, sweeping the tile as time seemed to stands still. Yamada Mart had become a staple of their little area, yet the rate of customers was dwindling. Blaming it on local crime seemed cliche, yet Seiya couldn't help but wonder if the two were related. Setting her broom aside, she went to restock the shelves, eyeing the clock. Better opportunities awaited at quittin' time. The bell above the door chimed, causing her to turn and give a small bow. "Welcome to Yamada Mart." Halfheartedly, she turned back to her work, sighing.

Well, he could handle dirty glares... That was fine. Greg grunted slightly when the ice cube pegged him square in the chest, casting a flat sort of glare in Seiya's direction. It didn't seem like he was going to stay 'loosened up' as she'd called it for very long. The boy had another sip of his soda, now with significantly fewer ice cubes, and then leaned back in his seat once again. "I'm plenty relaxed. That's all I do, even in class, Seiyaaa..." Shit, he said her name. Shit, shit, shit. "... -San?" He tried not to sound confused... Gregory was pretty sure that was the right one!

He shrugged with the question, choosing not to answer. It sort of felt like all eyes were on them, now, and most of those eyes were just below some very angry eyebrows. Greg had the urge to change the subject, with that thought! "Do you work there every day? Yamada Mart, I mean. It's on my way home from school, so..." He didn't really have a way to finish that, actually. The boy made a slight face. "Y'know. Just wondering." It wasn't like he planned to offer his patronage, or anything!

"Well, your game cards are cheaper than the place I usually go. So are the drinks... I'll come by, when I get a chance." Greg nodded, though he didn't sound particularly committed. That was practiced and intentional, of course! "Can you just... Uhh, close it at any time?" Seiya had done it awfully hastily today!

Well, it seemed like they had things in common! At least in the daddy department... Sort of. Greg shrugged yet again, that seemed to be his default-idle-motion over there. "So, uhh..." How was he going to phrase this? "Tell me more about that... Uh, crime thing, will you? Got me curious." No, too ambiguous. "... Following you, that is." He'd determined Seiya as not-actually-insane-or-maybe-a-little through conversation, so now it was more intriguing than just rambling madness.

"Uhh..." Gregory inclined his head, lifting an eyebrow at the girl. That was an odd question-- Well. Sort of a coincidental question, actually, given... Certain things. His expression changed from dubious to something more like concerned, and Greg gave a half-hearted shrug. "I've, uh..." The urge to not sound crazy unfortunately outweighed the one to potentially elaborate. "Not really, no. What's your theory..?"

"What, did you like... Uhhh..." Grrr! Phrasing this stuff was hard. "See something?" That'd do. Greg sounded curious even if he didn't look it, and was even leaning in just a bit himself now. The boy's expression was oddly serious, to top that off.

Oh. Well, to be fair, that sounded a lot worse than his little experience. "A... Huh. Hmm..." Greg's eyebrows furrowed, and he finally glanced around. It didn't look like anyone actually cared about their conversation, but then leaning back and away now would be weird. He was trapped! "That's... Weird. I, uh... Well, I've seen something weird in a mirror, I think. Just a few days ago, actually." The boy sounded a little nervous just talking about it, to be honest.

That got quite a reaction, didn't it? He had a feeling Seiya might end up disappointed, though! It certainly wasn't black smoke and whatever she might've seen, at any rate. "Well, it's not really that, uhh... You remember the storm a few days ago? I ended up going home with Miho-san, and her apartment building's got this freaky elevator... Mirrors for walls, I dunno who'd design that." Even without the strange occurrence, that really was a freaky choice of decor. "Anyway, on our way up the power went out and we ended up stuck for a minute or two... My phone was messing up, too, but that's not really important." At least, he didn't think so.

Greg glanced up while he thought of how best to describe what came next. It was obviously not normal, but how does one describe... A different reflection? It didn't help that he wasn't perfectly fluent. "It, uhhh... When the lights came back on, it was only for a second. I caught my reflection sort of... Moving? It didn't match up. With me, that is. I blinked and it was gone, though, so... I figured it was just my head." Wow, he'd talked a lot. More than he'd spoken to anyone in a while, actually. "I hope that makes sense."

Well... She'd believed him, so that was good. Greg hadn't exactly expected her not to, given she'd mentioned a similar story, but there was still a small doubt. Wait, now she was getting up! "Huhm? Where are you-- Uhh, coming..!" Seiya was certainly in a hurry all of a sudden! The boy stood up from his seat in the booth and followed, though not quite as quickly.

He caught up with her outside of the bathrooms, of course, hands in his pockets and eyebrows scrunched up a little bit. "Look, Seiya-san, I'm not about to go in the womens' bathroom or anything for an experiment..."

"Hey--!" In they went, and there was a brief moment of panic until he realized that the bathroom wasn't like he'd expected. Okay, so that wasn't as bad-- What? "Uhh..! That's not what I meant, Seiya-san, it was-- I figured it was for the mirror, I probably used the wrong word." The boy coughed quietly, now he was a little embarrassed, and then finally took a look around the bathroom. "Are you sure this is a good idea, uh, regardless? You made it sound pretty dangerous." Dangerous enough that he was actively avoiding looking into the mirror, in fact! Greg was a little spooked.

Greg's eyebrows lifted while he watched on... The girl seemed transfixed, oddly enough, and he cleared his throat. "Uhh, what're you--" The mirror rippled and he paused, staring in disbelief for a moment. "Wh.. Uh, hey, that doesn't look too safe..!" Whatever was happening, it definitely wasn't normal! Gregory grabbed onto one of Seiya's arms, despite the fact that he wasn't a fan of physical contact, as she seemed like the type who'd try to smash her face into the thing next.

"This doesn't really feel safe..!"

The boy noticed quickly that the words weren't coming from where he'd expected, and thankfully his first instinct was to check the mirror. His eyes went a little wide with the realization, and then he was stuck looking between the two of them with lips parted in a decidedly shocked expression. "Uhhhh..." Greg's eyebrows furrowed and he blurted out the first thing that came to mind. "Who in the hell are you?"

He was about to, but the sudden dark misty show was more than enough to convince him that it was probably a bad idea. "Uh... N-No, I'm not gonna-- Don't let it out, all right?" Not that Greg was even sure how to prevent that from happening, at this point. He considered calling for help; that Jumbo character had seemed reliable enough, but leaving Seiya alone here to do that was probably a terrible idea by all means. Especially now that she looked a little scared!

"What do you want? Who are you, even?" It was worth a shot!
