Surama wasn't anywhere near when the whole incident occured --but as being one of the staff, she felt it was almost her responsibility to check up on the situation. It wasn't as if the other teachers weren't nosey, so she assumed she could get away with it. That's what she would tell herself, regardless, as her true concerns were mostly about a particular student.
"Excuse me, Officer." she interrupted the investigation, flashing her identification briefly so that she wasn't almost instantly dismissed as some other student. A hand was placed upon Seiya's shoulder, a look on her face like she was determined to rescue her underling.
"This is my student, and I would appreciate it if you could please allow her to leave," a heavy hint of worry was imbedded in her voice, "If she is late for class then it will be me who will be held responsible. Surely you can do some questioning later? It is not as if you are getting much out of her now. You understand, I'm sure."
She remained as polite and professional as possible, although assertive, rubbing her student's upper back in a manner to comfort her. Sort of like saying, subtly, 'Everything will be okay'.
